Happy Laundry opened this year (2024), so all machines are new and well-maintained, and the place is scrupulously clean. The owner is usually on site, available to answer any questions or provide assistance. In addition to selling laundry needs like detergent and fabric softener, the owner also has drinks and snacks available for purchase. There are various sizes of Speed Queen front loader machines, some of which can hold absolutely huge loads (so if you've been procrastinating because you have too much laundry to handle, now's the time and here's the place to do it!) Happy Laundry also offers free Wi-Fi to patrons. And if you just don't have time to get your laundry done, they also offer a wash and fold service -- just drop off your laundry and come back later to pick it up.
This is a card-based laundry system, so expect to pay more than you would for similar service at a coin-op laundromat. The good news is that you won't have to scrounge up quarters for wash day. The laundry card costs $1 but can be reloaded indefinitely (they will not replace lost or stolen cards, so keep yours safe). Also, you can only add value to your card in $10 increments and you can't get change back for unused funds, so keep that in mind when you load up. It's worthwhile to check the various washers and dryers first and note the difference in price so you'll know what machines work best for your budget.
Overall, this is a clean, pleasant place to get your laundry done; if you have to spend some time chillin' and sudsin' at the laundromat you could make far worse choices. Recommended by this laundry fairy.
The wash and fold service is not up to par. They don’t use the standard folding device and the result is sloppy. It also leaves clothes smooshed and wrinkled. The owner wanted me to pay $28 for my duvet cover. I told him I would not return. He then said oh I’ll include sheets/duvets..
While PUR is a 15 min drive and in a less than desirable neighborhood its wash and fold services blow happy laundry out of the park. It might be good for self service but I don’t use that feature.
I won’t return unless it’s s timing emergency as they offer same and next day where PUR is 2 days.
