I took my daughter to Harrison Port Orchard Urgent Care last night for a prolonged (12/13) fever. As soon as we were in the room with the nurse (Kaitlin) she told me she was going to do a swab test for Strep. I let Kaitlin know I have been keeping an eye on my daughter's throat and it was not red or inflamed. We had also had a Telehealth appointment earlier that day and that provider was able to look and verify my daughter's throat was not inflamed. Upon looking into my daughter's mouth Kaitlin abruptly said "her tonsils are very red and inflamed, I AM doing a Strep test." Then she got in my daughter's face and rudely told her not to move because if she moved, it would cause her to throw up which would then cause Kaitlin to throw up. I could see the worry in my daughters eyes as Kaitlin was trying to shove not one but TWO swabs into my daughters throat. She had scared my daughter which was causing her to not sit still and I asked her to stop. Kaitlin did not stop. Consent was completely ignored during this visit and Kaitlin was extremely rude and unprofessional. The doctor was dismissive when I talked to her about the lack of care from the staff there. My daughter has had several Strep tests in her 10 years and never ever had a problem with them before. She also said Kaitlin pushed so hard on her throat, it hurt. However, Kaitlin looked at my daughter after swabbing her throat and said, I doubt I got enough to test. NEVER EVER BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS CLINIC. NEVER.

I have been waiting for 3 hours and as i’m typing i’m STILL waiting to be helped. spent 2 hours in the waiting room with only 3 people ahead of me. Then to get put in a room for me to be told there will be another wait…it’s been and hour of a wait in the room and i’m STILL waiting. and i just keep seeing person after person walk by my door. i understand being low staffed but this is just ridiculously low staffed and management needs to do better!!

I took my brother to get some stitches today(01/14/2023) and waited 5 Hours to get treated after we were told 1 hour wait. I understand short staffing issues but when originally told a time it should never be 5x that. We also waited 1 hour for the nurse to come in after the stitches to discharge us. Absolutely insane! Do not come here if it’s an emergency. I would suggest taking a longer drive if needed and getting treated somewhere else.
