Lots of trails to take, all where well maintained. Be sure to bring boots, it can get a little muddy! I would love to come back in the summer. One thing to watch for is trail runners, the path can get a little tight, so be sure to let them pass.

This trailhead is connected to the larger Cougar Mountain system of trails. There are great ravines, mossy growth, plenty of options for trails. Some trails feature old mining history (clay pit, shafts and entryways) usually not recommended to go in of course. Harvey Manning is atop a tall alpy hill and features a great view point of Lake Sammamish.

Wonderful hiking place made in honor of a great mountaineer! If you can get away from the roar of the I-90, it’s a very serene and spiritual place. Highly recommend, though the parking lot is not open in winter or so I found.
