A Real HCL Game Tester Job Review:
"I'll do anything to make somebody hate me" - Quoted from a current Lead Game Tester.
Pros: -You get to play games before release and help them be more stable by assuring its game quality. -A 'foot' in the door to QA and experience
Cons: -Management is clicky. Very. -Workplace harrasment and foul language by management. -Below Minimum wage pay. -Hours based on performance. -Work criteria along with environment is not worth the time and money -Basic Insanity, tedious computer work. -Manager Morale is low.
Overall, lookout for management that only look at you like Testing Pawns.
Im giving this a 3 out of 5, what makes it 3 is the other testers you'll meet and the connections you'll make, not really work related.
TL/DR The estblishment is a Toxic Battle Royale where the only objective is to stay alive by your performance and appearance. Lightly cutthroat.
If you really care about the Quality Assurance sector, be prepared to experience what I've addressed in this review.
