This is one of our favorite places to eat. The food is great, and I have never left still hungry. The service and atmosphere are nice, dark, and quiet, perfect for a date or dinner with family.

Extremely disappointed in food; stuffed mushroom appetizer missing mushrooms, French onion soup soggy, as though four weeks old. The schnitzel was way over cooked, filet steak had gristle running throughout it and the New York steak served was pancake thin. And to top off the insult, the "bread" served was identical to 1950's Howard Johnson greasy bread. For half the price one can get a far better meal at numerous other locations. Have to conclude current staff and owner are milking this restaurant's legacy and providing all its Google stars.

Herb Niemann’s has been our family’s special occasion, go to for over 15 years. The food was always to die for and the last two times over the last year we’ve noticed the food has gone downhill. The potatoes were cold and seasoned differently, the cabbage was over seasoned and the sauce on the schnitzel was mustardy. Food is certainly a matter of personal taste and our family of 4 have noticed these differences in the food quality. Our waitress forgot our salads and bread. I did appreciate the manager taking a little off our bill for that. Our entrees came out right after our appetizer and it felt rushed.
