Stopped by on a Wednesday, suggested that this spot was open till 11:30pm, got to the place at 7 and it was closed. Looked interesting on Google maps, but very disheartening to make the trek from Portland to check this store out when it's Google hours are incorrect and it's just roughly two hours after it's suggested opening time and it's closed. I cannot speak for the business or it's wares but it's not a good sign if their timetable is inaccurate.
In response to owner reply: I had hesitated to leave a review because of the extreme hostility this owner seems to particularly express when said reviews do not reflect the opinion THEY want. However I had given the benefit of the doubt and gave a three star with the intention of making a return attempt. However with the reply it seems he's more interested in belittling potential customers as opposed to providing any sort of customer experience. Individual owners like this put a damper on the energy to support "local business." As a business owner your customer should be top priority. Patience is needed in the event that a customer does not understand, or fully grasp the hoops you want them to jump through. It does not mean to act in a manner that shows you being disingenuous and short tempered. Where this could have been resolved easily has otherwise demonstrated that your interests do not lay with the customer.
Recommendations: Simply change your hours to "varied" or make adjustments with "temporary hours". Or if you get a similar comment, reply with a positive message such as "hey sorry you missed us, give us a call next time before you drop in and we will get you squared away!" Then boom, could of easily led to a sell, and edited this review to leave a 5 star for excellent customer service, product and a business who makes a small effort to inform a customer. But as it stands, I will for sure never step foot in this establishment and personally never recommend it to another.
Conclusion: You may have the best wares and prices but your customer consideration and service leaves alot to be desired. I'd recommend spending less time on long, crass, and mean post responses to reviews and focus more on customer retention due to your varying hours that require archaic processes to know. In this regard, I'd highly recommend changing your customer service tactics. Good luck!
I’ve been to every collectibles store in the pdx area and this is hands down the WORST. Do yourself a favor and skip the one
Crammed to the brim with garbage merchandise at prices higher than eBay (or any other shop I have been to).
Store owner is cranky, rude and the epitome of the simpsons “comic book guy” To the point that he wouldn’t stop insulting us because we refused to buy anything at his crazy high prices
