We’ve lived down the street from HPCS for 2+ years and it just keeps getting better and better while building community and becoming a fixture of the neighborhood.

Now that they make their own sandwiches (that don’t cost $100 like other spots) it’s hard to find a better place to go for a coffee, some lunch, ice cream, a cold beer or a food truck in the evenings.

I’ll miss the all you can eat cereal bar but at this rate I’m sure they’ll come up with something even better. At the very least they have the most interesting variety of merchandise certain to entertain any shopper.

Couldn’t recommend more!

Fun hip place in my old neighborhood that I had to check out once I learned about it. Definitely a different corner store than it was when I lived in the area! I came by to check out the NZ Tip Top ice cream (as I just got back from a month in NZ and wondered what made it New Zealand like). It was good soft serve where they mix in flavors in a base like other places in Seattle have done (Georgetown's Seattle Freeze was the best while it was around) but definitely not something I ever came across while traveling around NZ. They had some good candy selections but nothing from NZ that I could find.

I mean, everything is well curated and high quality, you can order a made-to-order breakfast sandwich, grab a fresh baguette while listening to good post-punk, and support whatever cool fundraiser they happen to be supporting at the moment (fighting hunger with art on my visit). The cherry on top? The owner and staff are incredibly welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. What’s not to love?
