My wife and I decided to build one last time. We did our research on construction company's local to our area. I saw Hiline on a billboard and thought since I was a journeyman electrician and have built two houses previously maybe this was the way to go. We saw that they do a shell and a super shell and made the decision to go with a super shell which basically is the home of our choice built on our lot ready for paint on the interior and the exterior. We would then go in and finish the home ourselves getting immediate sweat equity as they say. We had Hiline do just that build us a super shell that we could finish to our liking. From the very start they were nothing short of professional. We got to watch as their employees / subs built the home. All of the people they used were very courteous and attentive to our needs and wants. After every stage the people doing the work cleaned up the mess created while in construction. We were tasked with taking the waste to the landfill but most of the subs took it with them. My wife and I are very happy with the end result a 5 bedroom home with a 3 car garage and an 8 foot deep wraparound porch farmhouse style sitting on 2 acres. Margaux in the office Teyo as the project manager and Corey overseeing the whole project were awesome from start to finish. Any concerns from my wife and I were dealt with extremely fast. They actually went above and beyond in my opinion doing things that they really didn't need to do and giving us advice along the way. Teyo even showed up after work one night even though their responsibilities were met to help and show me how to install a pocket door. This was on his time without any financial gain (pimp status in my book :) ) Thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts. I will without a doubt be referring Hiline to anyone I hear or know of wanting to have a home built, in fact I have already suggested these guys to a few of my coworkers and have no concerns about them getting the same quality service we received.
BUYER BEWARE—- Family dynamics changed and we had to build again. Since we were so happy with the results the first time we decided to build with HIline again. What a mistake that was, Covid was active and personnel had changed which I get so I took all my concerns to Corey the owner. I got nothing but excuses for the literally butcher job we got everything was out of plumb they were using 1 16 penny nail in the top and bottom of the studs to where they would turn while nailing my electrical boxes on them. If you want to see firsthand Hi~Line‘s quality of work reach out to me and you can tour my home that they built and I will show you the hack job they did. I can’t be any more honest than that. They even hit me with a change order for 42 grand after the contract was signed and locked in which was very shady. Even the bank, I financed this house with have stopped supporting Hi-Line jobs.
