I don't contribute enough to the GDP to merit health care that could actually help me. If I break a bone or need stitches, I might be able to get that kind of help. As it is, I have been trying for 3 entire actual years to get relief from this pain... and what's more, my "primary care doctor" doesn't know anything about me. Wrote in my chart I would "be all better in a few months" when, for the past 11 years, I have been fighting the federal government trying to get SSI. So either they were negligent, or malicious... which equals out to the same EFFECT, which is: no help for me, no peace, no hope.

I had the best experience here twice! At 38 years old I was diagnosed with degenerative bone disease in both of my hips, this is an extremely rare condition to get, and only 1% of the people that get it are under 45 years old (so very rare for a 38 year old). Dr. Kowalick, Kenyon, and the rest of the orthopedic staff, surgically removed part of both of my femurs, fixed my damaged hips, and put in state of the art femoral implants over the course of two surgeries. Dawn, my nurse, Andreas, and the rest of the assisting staff, also made the experience smooth, easy, and incredibly fast. I had two surgeries, and both times the entire team acted hastefully, professionaly, and with undeniable success. Furthermore, I had went to several hospitals, MRI companies, and Orthopedic Surgeons beforehand. None of which couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I was in horrible pain for two years and couldn't walk without a cane or crutches, barely could sleep, I couldn't play sports with my kids, go out on the water, vacation, I was imprisoned in my body. Dr. Kowalick and his team improved my quality of life tremendously and deserve praise for their expertise and service. I highly recommend this team and OHSU for doing what they do, saving lives and helping people get better. 10 stars out of 5! I'll be buying this team a very nice lunch after my recovery.

I had a health scare that resulted in me being admitted to the Tuality ER. The doctors and nurses were friendly and thorough. They made sure I had a health plan for after I left the hospital. Would definitely recommend them!
