It is a shame that public money was spent to create this nuisance. Washington State DOT improved a fill area into a parking area for a Walla Walla 20-20 fairy tale, so that Walla Walla County cheapskates (Commissioners) would not have to provide the recreation and parking they promised the GSA in 1984 when the parcel this turnout serves - Parcel #19, 120 acres - was transferred to them for $1.00.
As soon as you cross the heavy fence you are on PRIVATE PROPERTY, and you leave most of your legal rights behind with your good sense.
Check your insurance carrier, they may not pay your claim if it occurred during illegal activity, and trespass is illegal activity. And check your wallet, I may not be the largest landowner in Walla Walla County, but I know who is. Their governing board is not interested in your recreation on its property. It is NOT "open land". And neither is the property of the UPRR. This turnout serves 120 acres ONLY!.
And, contrary to the b-s at 240 West Alder and 314 West Main, neither is mine.
