So I came in to get some clay for a project. Was in the clay isle and heard yelling, thought it was just some kids or something but turned the corner and it was a manager yelling, like yelling loud. 😳 I thought maybe something had happened, but it turns out she was yelling at another employee. To me this was VERY unprofessional, and the employee looked like she was so overwhelmed and on the verge of crying. I shop at Hobby Lobby alot, but if this is how the managers treat their staff, I will not be coming back or shopping at this company anymore.

A friend and I went in to pick up a Cricut Maker 3 that was supposed to be on sale for $379.99, only to be told by the employee at the register that it was no longer on sale. We told him about the signs in the aisle showing the sale price of the item and the guy looked into his drawer at the current promotional items, of which the Cricut was not among. My friend had taken a picture of the sale sign as proof that we weren't trying to pull a fast one, and after showing it to him, he called the manager to verify that there was actually a sale for the item. The manager lady approached us and said the sale had already ended and that someone just forgot to take the signs down. As it turns out, the sale had actually ended on the 31st of August and the signs were still up on September 5th. I get that the sale was over and we should have probably looked a bit harder at the sign, but all we got was a very blunt and very rude "Sorry" and the manager walked away without honoring the deal for their mistake. Pretty crappy service all around. As a retail business, that's bad form. If you make a mistake, you make it right. We walked out without buying anything and they lost a pretty hefty sale. Might not be a million bucks worth of merch we were buying, but it was gonna be over $400 when all was said and done. I normally hate leaving these kinds of reviews but, I'll be damned if customer service hasn't gone down the toilet in recent years. Wasn't looking to make a scene or a fuss, but it was like a teacher dismissing a student or something. That's what it felt like. They just couldn't be bothered with us. Pretty sad.
