The best ice cream we’ve had in LA (we’ve eaten a lot). Try the pavlova with ice cream, it’s delicious. Will be returning. The owner, Bud, is an epicurean (and a really nice guy!) and it shows up in the ice cream. They’re very passionate about what they are making.

We tried the ice cream from Hokey Pokey during our trip from Sydney in September 2024. Both my wife and I are dairy intolerant so were a bit apprehensive before trying this ice cream due to past experiences. After one taste of the Hokey Pokey ice cream we were in shock and do not think we can have ice cream anywhere else. I think the residents of Southern California blessed by this ice cream coming from hard work and determination risks from the two lovely New Zealander owners whom we had the pleasure to speak with. We wish you the very best for your business moving forward and hope you can open something up in Australia.

I’ve never tried New Zealand style ice cream before, but this is hands down the best soft serve I’ve had in LA. Extremely creamy, no ice crystals, thick, and luxurious. Don’t hesitate!
