This was by far the best site i have stayed at! The property is 55 acres of beautiful trees and meadows. I went the first week in June and it was perfect 👌. My son and I were 1 of 3 people on this entire site and it was AMAZING!
The site is private property so they recommend you call the owner prior to leaving the main road to let them know you are coming. I stayed on the boyscout side at campsite c3. The campsite backed up to a large open meadow that generally has horses in it. The owner said the horses would be there the following week. My son and I tent camped here and It was great. We were a little walk from the bathroom but not too far, they were well maintained. The boyscout side offered hot showers as well. When I explored the rest of the campsite, it looked like there were Porta Johns on the other side. Each site offered water and a fire pit.
The sites are beautiful large open areas that are far enough away from other sites to allow you to feel secluded even when there are people next to you. It does require a high clearance vehicle to get to the site but it was worth it!
You can hike around the property or enjoy just laying in a hammock listening to the breeze. The trail is close to big bear lake(20 minutes) and there are a lot of great offroad trails near by too. We explored the gold fever trail and it was cool to learn about some history along the way.
Overall this is probably my favorite site in the big bear area. It was slightly more than the basic campsites but it was worth every penny. The owner was also great and told me I could leave whenever on our final day and didn't need to rush out. I loved how peaceful it was and the hot shower was a HUGE bonus. It was such an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back.
