They destroyed my medical records without notifying me or making any effort to contact me. I was never offered any form of backup—no hard copies, digital copies, or even an email with a link to create an online account for access to these critical records. I only visited this facility once, for the significant event of my baby's birth. That was both my first and last visit. It's shocking that such an important record, like a live birth, was destroyed. You would think they would have sufficient storage space for something this essential, yet they didn’t bother preserving it.
I never recall receiving any copy of the birth record, nor have I ever seen the full medical record. I can't help but feel that if I had outstanding bills with them, they would have kept those records intact. They even have skip-trace tools to track patients down for payment purposes, but when it comes to something as crucial as medical records, they seem indifferent.
To make matters worse, when I spoke with the medical records representative, they had the audacity to laugh and giggle while delivering the devastating news that my records had been destroyed or purged. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of care is deeply upsetting.
