Love this place! It's a great venue with pricing that doesn't make a trip to the movies something you have to finance. They offer a mix of current new releases and classics, with the occasional B-movie bingo and King Fu theater thrown in. A must visit for film buffs and casual viewers alike!

This place is Spectacular!! Fantastic Staff! Always plays Director Martin Scorces's newest films, on70mm nonetheless! Quentin Tarantino has been a guest speaker several times. 2 floors:balcony. They have hot fresh pizza by the slice too. T H E best movie experience in Portland, heck whole state of Oregon!!!

The Hollywood Theatre is a Portland institution and just a charming place to spend an evening. There is a real community feel - everyone is there to enjoy the film, nobody is a jerk about using their phones, etc. We saw The Lost Boys, and it was a great shared experience! Also, you can get a craft cider and pizza slice at the concession - the pizza is from Sizzle Pie and is AMAZING. Be sure to book ahead for your tickets as the theatre always fills up! Great place to see classic or niche films!
