This is the Tukwila location.
I must have been there for the monthly "push for the Homegoods card" because that message came on heavy to every customer that came up to the counter. Usually you can decline & move on but after the THIRD attempt, I (rudely & abruptly) said, NO. I was pretty frustrated after standing in a long & noticeable line with 3-registers open. There was a gal literally coaching the register person & telling customers how awesome the card is, & stating, "[she] could prove she has credit on her card she could use on purchases. Saying even Costco didn't give that much money back on their rewards!"
Well, Costco does a better job of not hassling their customers & ringing them up to actually buy stuff.
Told them that I'm headed to Bellevue because they are a better store.
Midas 1-star for the hard push for the Home Goods card.
I shop weekly at HomeGoods & spend thousands of dollars every month at this store.
I received a comforter set as a gift, and called HomeGoods corporate number to see the process for exchanging it.
I was told to bring in my temporary Driver's license in addition to a legal document, such as my passport that has a photo.
Upon arriving at the store, the manager Lori, proceeds to rudely tell me that corporate was incorrect.
She informed me that my state issued identification is not acceptable and refused to exchange my comforter, despite my request to simply exchange it for a different color.
I am so frustrated with stores going against the rules and regulations set by corporate. I've wasted my night, my gas and my time!
I'm very disappointed HomeGoods!!!
