Sold me a $400 used unit that lasted all of 4 months. It now takes 8+ hours to complete a load in the washing machine. $400 should buy you a machine that lasts for at least a year if not 2 or 3.

When I asked if I could receive a call before he got here so I didn't have to wait the whole time unproductive, he said he doesn't do that... REALLY, I've called around and everybody I've talked to says it is regular to get a call an 30 minutes to an hour before your service guy gets there. Heavens to betsy, even comcast will call before they show up.
