Hometown Property Management

These were the worst folks to deal with, unresponsive when I told them my front door lock didn't work upon moving in. They stick it to the tenants every opportunity they get. Find anyone but hometown to rent from. Go to Tacoma if u have to, you're better off.

We gave a double deposit expecting to get half of it back, but after three years were told this was the cost of normal wear and tear: cleaning fee $250 painting base boards $200 trash removal (which I'm sure our monthly utility fee covered) $150 and carpet removal? $250. So an update on my dime, thanks for nothing.

I really don't know about the experience of renting from them, however, they're a pain to deal with as property management. Our house is right beside one of their rental properties and these past few weeks with the wind storm, the fence that divides our properties, fell. We were proactive and got two good estimates, sent them over, and they sent us one that ended up being more expensive than the two we provided. We should be working together if we're going to cover the cost of this repair, not go with the most expensive option that will do a quick fix - we met those people that came in to "repair" and they were gonna do a piss poor job - for more money than they deserved!

The fence is still not fixed, they take forever to reply or no reply at all, and they surely don't have the best interest of the home owners that pay for that service. One thing for sure, if we need a property manager one day, we would certainly go with someone else. Home owners need someone they can trust while they're gone, and look out for their best interests, especially when it comes down to money and a job well done.

Maybe, if they would do what they're getting paid for, I would probably update this review.
