Very cool ride with a nice pilot. The ride was supposed to be 40-50 minutes, but was just under 30 minutes (the same length as the $50 cheaper option). The invoice for the ride also included an "optional donation" that I had to ask about to find out it was optional. Overall a neat experience, but not easy to recommend.

Our pilot was Tim, and he was excellent. Would recommend highly Hood River Soaring. I did learn that 2 people are “tight” in the rear seats of the glider. It can get a bit hot and it is not as quite as I thought it would be. Expect some ups and downs as you are being pulled up to release height. However, the views are incredible and again Tim was a fantastic pilot.

My husband and I took a glider ride with Hood River Soaring to celebrate his 40th birthday, and it was such a positive experience. Neither one of us had ever been soaring and we loved every minute of it. We gained a whole new perspective on the Gorge. We would definitely recommend booking a ride with Hood River Soaring the next time you are looking for a new and fun experience.
