Dr. Hoover shows why it's so important to see a specialist to diagnose and treat certain conditions. I consulted with two different sports injury doctors before being referred to Dr. Hoover. One visit was all it took for him to identify the specific cause and best treatment options, ranging from the economical to the exotic. I appreciated his forthright comments and expert opinions. He demonstrated how my chronic injury developed and why, and how to prevent recurrence. Also, a shout out to his staff. I appreciated everyone's kindness, sympathy, and professionalism.

Worst experience with office-staff. Was referred to them by my PCP. They put in an order for me to get X-rays initially in 2021 but the request was for the wrong foot. The X-ray request expired so I booked a new appointment. I arrived for my appointment and no one was there. They called me the next day and said I could come in the following week. (They said the doctor had to take an emergency trip to Europe so they shut down the office for the day. I did not receive any notice for my apt.) The following week I was 4 min late due to their office moving to a high congested area. Office administrator said if I arrived by 4:50 the doctor would still have time to see me. I arrived exactly at 4:50 and they turned me away.
Will never be going back and do not recommend this practice due to office staff.
Such a shame because Dr. Hoover was so nice in my initial visit. Also because I’ve spent $300+ out of pocket only to have to find a new podiatrist and start from scratch.
It sounds like I’m not the only person with this complaint about office staff. Curious if Dr. Hoover is aware?

The front office person has no clue. She is very rude and does not know her job at all. She tried telling me that I had to use my second insurance because it was fraud if I did not. I told her no I will just pay out of pocket what my first insurance does not cover. Come to find out they do not even accept my second insurance so that would be the case anyway. She rudely said fine I will schedule you but I am going to have to talk to the billing person because they are a small office not a big corporation???????? I told her nevermind I would find another Dr to go to. I am very confused because I called my insurance company and they said absolutely not that if I did not want to use any insurance at all and just pay cash it is not fraud.
