On our way back home, we stopped in at Hops on the Hill in Tumwater WA, and we were so glad we did. It's a cute little pub that is, in fact, on the hill. He ordered the Smoked Brisket Mac & Cheese bowl, and that may have been the best brisket we've had in quite some time. I ordered the St. Patrick's Day special - a Rueben sandwich made with some amazingly delicious corned beef on golden toasted Rye bread. I also had an old fashioned which was well made, and he had a sour from Pfreim.
The staff was friendly and attentive. The dining area is nice, looking with a rustic collection of hard hewn woods. The parking lot is decently sized. They have an outdoor dining area that appears to be only one seasonally. The restroom was clean and well kept. All in all, a great stop for a weekend lunch.
