Location is great and room seemed clean - service was ok. However, the place and room lokkes nothing like the pictures on the site, everything is really old and warn and kinda dodgy-looking tbh. Small room and really (!!!) noisy air-con in the bathroom - so actually had to go to bathroom with No light on as to not wake up our sleeping kid. The carpets everywhere looked really old and needs to be changed IMO. Receptionist the first day was super cold and looked like someone who should have been home in bed. Also they were doing construction next door to our room (the door was tapes with plastic). The price does not match the experience.

The reviews for Hotel Carmel are overly harsh. It’s an older property but very clean and nice. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The complaints about noise don’t account for the fact that it’s a low rise hotel in the middle of a busy city area.

The receptionist Maxine was lovely and very helpful the room service lady was wonderful and rooms serviced and kept clean every day. Location was great. Close to the beach and shopping not far from the airport everything is just walking distance
