Stayed to be near the hospital as I am sure many do. You want to love it because of the history, but in truth it’s pretty decrepit and not clean. We splurged in a suite. Lots of room but the walls are beaten up and need cleaning, the baseboards weirdly lacked shoes so you could see the ragged dirty carpet edges, there is viable dust and grime on all the areas that difficult to clean and aren’t cleaned regularly, broken furniture, dirty looking grout in the bathroom that probably needs replacing, a window that has lost its seal and the bathroom window is just old and a little rickety, dead bugs on the ceiling, corroded door hinges, needs to be repainted, a funny smell, and I could go on. We called for room service this morning and no one would pick up. If you want to see it, just have a drink in the beautiful and historic lounge areas on the main floor, but the food is not great and over priced. Sorry, renovations are due.

Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle! The room is spacious and comfortable, the staff is extremely friendly and we had an amazing experience at the restaurant. The ideal location for exploring the city. I especially loved the historic and luxurious feel of the property. You will love it!

I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn nicer than this hotel.
The elevator smells like a thrift shop . The carpet in the rooms looks like it hasn’t ever been changed. All the bathroom fixtures are falling off the wall. Internet wasn’t working.
I’m not certain what qualifies this hotel as four stars, but I would avoid it if you can and find something more updated. Management is letting this place fall apart.
