H&R Block

One of the worst experiences ever trying to file my taxes. I had a scheduled appt at 11:00am and the front desk receptionist initially said she didn’t see me on the schedule... I gave her my last name and informed her I had a confirmation email from H&R Block, for that time and date and she replied that “the tax preparer was not arriving to work until 12:00pm and she’s not sure what to tell me.” One of her colleagues overheard our conversation and asked her did you look at the schedule?. She said “oh there you are, looks like we scheduled you with another person.” Long story short, the second individual H&R Block, assigned me with turned me down because she wasn’t qualified to complete some of my tax forms.. Instead of trying to accommodate and assign me to senior tax preparer promptly, they said “we are very busy today and you will have to reschedule for next week.” Simply poor customer service, communication, and professionalism. Don’t waste your time or money with a company that seems to have a lot of new unqualified tax preparers and a difficult time meeting scheduled arrangement agreements.

Do these people have any supervisor on them? How rude could they be while answering the phone! This is a joke place

Very polite staffs and Linda was great. Very helpful and completed my tax in two quick appointments. I've been a turbotax user for the last 20 years and yes, it is true that if your tax is quite simple, it's definitely worth it and much cheaper to take some time to do it on your own but if you don't have time or if your tax return is getting complicated like mine, it's worth it to hire a pro like H&R block.
