Russ is highly professional and proficient. He goes above and beyond in his attempts to ensure complicated tax situations are addressed completely as well as researching every possible deduction for the customer. I have worked with Russ for years and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I dropped my taxes off to be done on March 29, 2019. Here we are on April 17, after tax day, and they are still not finished. We continuously made phone calls back-and-forth and emails back-and-forth to get all of our contact information correct, and they continued to send our tax approval to the wrong emails. Not to mention, they told me that I could come in and sign for my husband (since they still couldn’t get our online signing info entered correctly) on April 15 so we wouldn’t surpass the legal deadline, as long as he gave them permission for me to do so as he is working out of state, so that is what I did. Then they called me two days later and told me that they need him to come in in person when he gets back from out of state and sign for himself. (Because THEY are more comfortable with that) Both the receptionist calling, and the tax preparer heard shouting responses in the background via phone, acted like it was no big deal for him to come in and sign… “Oh, he’ll be home this weekend?! Wonderful! Then he can come in and sign when he gets home!” One day. My husband flies in on Friday night and flies out Sunday afternoon with ONE day to spend with his family out of seven and instead, he will be spending it at H&R Block. (Not to mention it’s a Holiday weekend, intended to be spent with family) But it’s no big deal, right?! Because THEY have all the time in the world, apparently. Absolutely no regard for the customer’s needs, only their own. I should add that I am writing this review at 1 AM, because I am actually literally losing sleep over their lack of consideration for the customer. $451 in preparer fees for services STILL not rendered and for taxes STILL not submitted as of April 18th? Oh yeah, they made sure that they already got paid out, even with out our taxes yet submitted. So again, why would THEY be rushed? Why would THEY care what our families needs are? We are very highly disappointed and will not be returning.

Person who has done my taxes for years retired. Was handed off to a new person. This person did not even do an itemized return like I have had done in the last 30 years. Just a quick $69 wham bam one. Received email and text that my return was received by IRS. We are now 5 weeks down the road, no refund and no record on my account it was filed. Call to H and R Block gave me a person who according to her "just answers the phone" and confirmed it was not filed. Told they will call me back tomorrow. This call back will impact my job as I cannot receive phone calls at work without disrupting the business. The lack of professionalism, communication, attention to detail, experience and honesty from this office is horrible. Never will go to this place again. Will never use H and R Block again if this is how they train, support and run their offices.
