Tara is one of a kind. She's a creative force, and a beautiful human being. She's also a textile artist whose work has been exhibited at establishments like Ghost Gallery. Her fabulous creations, inspired by nature, are awe inspiring. Her private workshops for adults are a great retreat for friends, and a no-brainer for morale and team-building events.
She's a professionally trained architect in the traditional sense, i.e., not software, and has a unique skill set. She can teach anything to anyone, and you'll have fun in the process: NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :-) While you might think you don't have a creative bone in your body, her classes will find it in you, and draw it out. I'm speaking from experience.
Her studio is a lovely escape for any stressed-out Seattleite. It's a sanctuary for people who are run off their feet. The vibe reminds me of the Sacred Rain Healing Center, another hidden gem also located in Ballard. Both are a treat. If you need an urban escape, I'd recommend both.
