Dr. Cohen is the reason I have control over my health and my life now. When I first started coming to Innate Chiropractic, I had tried everything to keep my chronic joint condition manageable and was failing spectacularly. I left my intake appointment having received better care than I ever could’ve imagined possible. The thorough intake allowed Dr. Cohen to fully assess my condition. The level of detail he went into in that appointment was unforgettable- he asked questions about my pain that I hadn’t even thought to ask. He muscle tested every single muscle and surrounding muscle in every area of pain. He took some of the most extensive patient notes I’ve ever seen. And then he got to work. As he explained to me the mechanics and reasoning behind every element of treatment, he successfully realigned all of my subluxations and mitigated my other points of muscular pain. He also managed to set a six year shoulder injury that took me out of my career of choice (and had mystified every other doctor I’ve seen). Don’t even get me started about how incredible my follow ups have been. Dr. Cohen is an incredibly competent, caring, and genuine medical professional who provides care that raises the bar for chiropractors everywhere. Thank you, Innate Chiropractic.
Dr. Cohen is by far the best "chiropractor" I've seen. I say that in quotes because he isn't a standard/traditional chiropractor who wants you to come in 3 times a week to make adjustments. He uses a variety of techniques that also focus on muscle work. This includes active release, physical therapy, rock tape, traditional adjustments, and more. He really takes a whole-body approach as opposed to looking only at alignment, and his knowledge is incredible.
I saw Dr. Cohen for back and neck issues involving nerve pain and loss of mobility but found out that my issues extended to most of the right side of my upper body. I had several muscles (from my lat to my forearm) that weren't firing properly. Within 3 visits (one per week) I regained full functionality. As an athlete, I was thrilled to be able to return to exercising.
Yes, he seems expensive out right, but considering it only took 3 visits for me, he was much cheaper than traditional chiropractors. He also takes insurance, which makes treatment considerably cheaper (at least for me). He is also a very honest practitioner (and very friendly). He wants to permanently fix your issues instead of having you come in once a week for an eternity for so called "maintenance" adjustments that other chiropractors have you do.
