So much potential, but my first issue was security holding me for 10+ minutes on the ground floor to verify I had a reservation before allowing me up to grab my key. Insulting - this wasn't a pleasant initial impression. Security is important, but I presented myself from the airport with baggage, not a brown bag bottle.
The lobby might be nice, but it's a hassle to take two elevators up to your room. It's even more uncomfortable when you want to use the gym or pool and realize they don't provide robes and you walk though the lobby in transit.
Service needs more training or attention to detail. Our room was refreshed one day and instead of leaving more coffee condiments, the half used one was taken and not replaced. I have never experienced an empty body wash dispenser in hotels all around the world, until now. There was dust on the bathroom sliding door and red stains on the wall-above the toilet paper dispenser. I won't speculate.
One day, the attendant simply didn't come to refresh the room. This was the second day with no bodywash. The do not disturb light was NOT illuminated.
Someone came when I was in the room to check the dates on the mini bar? Seriously? I can't exactly say why I let her in because her reason for entering wasn't stated.
The towels were closer to dog kennel quality than hotel quality. This is applicable for the room towels and pool towels.
Common areas were in need of updating. Rugs were lose, common furniture was shiny with hand grease on lobby chairs.
Positives: the pool is wonderful and clean. Views are awesome.
As an elite IHG member, I was left disappointed.
