I worked with Amber last year when we moved into a new home and needed help with designing our new space and purchasing furniture. She really listened to what we liked and our style and worked hard to keep us in budget. She made the process so easy and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We worked with Invision Design + Build to remodel the interior of our home, including reconfiguring a brand new kitchen space (which required knocking down and moving walls), upgrading our bathrooms, and removing carpeting to lay flooring throughout the entire house. As newbies to remodeling it was hard to know where to begin. With other designers we interviewed, we would have had to also hire and manage the contractor end of things. Interviews with Big Box stores made us realize that one department doesn’t talk to the other department. Invision Design + Build however took care of everything for us, from the initial design process, applications and permits, to the entire building process—they provided the entire package. Amber was a delight to work with through the design process. Whenever we came up with some crazy idea, she made it happen. Arnie, Roberto, and Daniel went out of their way through the construction process to allow us to live in one half of the house while they worked on the other half, even setting up a temporary sink and counter space on our back patio to provide a “kitchen” to supplement our BBQ efforts, and helping to move our belongings not in storage from one side of the house to the other when it was time for “the switch.” We’re sure it was frustrating for them to have the homeowners on site, but they answered our gazillion questions with grace and always had a friendly smile at the end of each day. We would highly recommend the Invision Design + Build team for any design, remodel, and construction projects you might have in mind and wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again in the future.

I have never worked with an interior designer before. But I was struggling with the idea of painting our very dark, beautifully paneled living room. So I hired Amber to come give me her opinion. Such a valuable experience. I learned so much about design with colors, textures and my new favorite, proportions. She helped me make the decision, we chose the color and she gave me a ton of amazing tips on how to decorate after the painting is complete.
We are thinking of remodeling our kitchen next Spring and I will definitely have her back for that big project.
