"Rachel" Mai, IRN Realty, was the individual of contact regarding a rental property in Chino, CA. My wife and I met with her today, after a series of dialogue which transpired over a week regarding a time to see the townhouse (4br/2ba). We were lukewarm, as we are looking at many properties. Yet, initially she seemed to place us through a vetting process (via text) before asking for us to view the rental. The key? She asked about our income and how many residents and pets would be living in the property. I responded 2 adults, 0 pets, 130k combined annual income. After reading this she starts responding constantly through email AND text with proposed times to view the property. We settle on a time, we meet her, and she appears slightly stonefaced that we are clearly an African American couple. Nothing else could explain the elongated and awkward pause upon knocking on the door. We enter, she doesn't really walk us around the home, and asks questions about the ability to afford the home with contrast to what we pay at the time, I advise that we earn a combined 11k per month with a low DTI, why is affordability at 2225 per/month even a question? She also asked why we were considering a 4 br when there were only two of us? This question was not presented out of curiosity, but apparently driving a different direction. Nevermind we just mentioned the fact we would be increasing our family with new additions soon - yet - the place on Topiary in Chino was ok, yet the extremely uncomfortable nature of the visit left us with an extremely bad taste in our mouth. We could have saved the trip from OC. We have been advised as to these type of situations, yet, experiencing this first hand (we are in the market to buy as well, taking our time) is something we have made note of. I would not recommend this individual nor their agency as she is a direct representation of them.

Evan helped us find our dream home in Arcadia after six months of searching. Thank him for the hard work. He help us negotiated down the price and requested for repair credit. He is a very honest and smart young guy. Thanks Evan! Recommended.
