They make deli sandwiches also. Island market has always been convienant for the neighborhood if you dont live anywhere near island market the ac transit bus # 14 comes and goes every 15 minutes except weeknds.

it has everything a good neighborhood convenience market should have, potato chips, canned goods, ketchup, you name it. it has meat market as well in the back. the prices at the meat market are high, but that's somewhat to be expected from a mom and pop's. the store itself is also high for some items bc again it's a small store. but if you need something they have it. the store is clean, and the shelves are stocked. it's a medium sized mom and pops. there's no parking lot.

One of the cashier's are super rude and tries to change the price of different items in the store. His brother Mohammed and any other cashier gives me the right price for anything in the store, but this particular individual who's name I do not know like to jack-up the price of anything. For example I asked Mohammed Tuesday how much the Brisk beverage is and he said $1.75, his brother on the other hand, I asked him today because I had forgotten and he said $2.25. I kinda hesitated on paying because I the price was a little too high, and so on my way to put it back I asked another employee and he said $1.75 as well. I don't know if he was trying to get a raise by upping the price but that not cool to try and finesse people for their hard earned money.
