I have been craving fish and chips for days. Today I was driving down Meridian and to my disbelief I spotted an Ivar's.
Man, they did not disappoint me. Pulled into the drive-thur and order the seafood combo. I got hot and delicious fish, shrimp, clams and fries.
I'll be back...
This is my picky older child's absolutely favorite place to eat. Even when we are running errands further out of the area, he would rather come back to this specific location to eat. His favorite is the Cajun fish but I also appreciate that they have good choices for our littlest, who loves the little bug-shaped graham cracker cookies and shrimp and fries. The staff is super friendly. When I ask for condiments because I forget they had them on the self service counter again, they never say anything and just bring them with a smile. Parking is always good, though it can be a little tight if there are more cars. The crowd here is always a little bit older, which is such a shame because the quality of food is way better than a typical fast food restaurant, and definitely cleaner!
Their fish and their chicken are both great. The service is good... they bring the food to us. Their prices are higher than I like, but that's the times in which we live. Their chowder is awesome, too!
