Unfortunately the management of the resort has changed hands. The wonderful couple, Julie and Jerry, that had run it for long time, bent over backwards to ensure your stay was enjoyable and memorable. Even offering up the use of their vehicle to launch our 12 foot aluminum lake boat when they saw us trying to launch with our 34 foot motorhome. The gals that run it now made me sign some 5 pages of campground rules for a gravel parking lot. We managed to launch with our Motorhome and tied to the dock while we setup camp and extended the 2 slide outs and leveling jacks. Before we finished a snack, we were asked to get the boat off the dock. We said we would be there shortly and go fishing. Later we came back and pulled the boat up in our traditional spot inside the protected cove and left it there for the night. Next morning we were met by one of the gals and informed we could not leave the boat in the cove as it was in the “rules”. Told us to put it in front of our campsite. (See picture). The next day it was so windy that it was rocking the RV. The boat was getting bashed on the rocks, so I moved it back to the protection of the cove. Sunday night and the camp is mostly cleared out and here she comes again and knocks on our door as I was preparing dinner. Told again to move the boat, I pleaded to leave it there for the night, given the terrible weather and wave conditions. I was told that others had trailered their boats. Others did not have Motorhomes. Given no choice, and no offer of help,we had to pack up and go get the boat out. Pulling in the slides and jacks, connect the trailer and deal with getting the boat back on it in the middle of this blow. Not fun. I and my family members have been coming here since the 1950’s, have many fond memories of our adventures there but we will not be coming back anytime soon. New management is bound to fail if they wish to treat old fishermen in this way and we will be back when there is a change.

Great food, Great atmosphere. Fantastic service. Can't wait to go camping this summer. Camping is right on the lake. Beautiful drive to get to an even better camping place. Have tent sites and RV sites (with water/power hookups)
