We ordered the Bhutta Bhojanam special for Diwali. It is for 3-4 people. Quite authentic! It was my first time trying something like this, but the bf is from south India so he's more knowledgeable about what goes into it all.
The food came with banana leaves. So we had fun arranging everything out like it normally is. There was lime rice, curd rice and plain rice. For veggies there was a tomato okra curry, what tasted like a plantain subji, sambhar with the rice, gun powder, chutney and pickle as accompaniment, and finally shira for dessert. The meal ended with a nice piece of paan. For dry options, they provided the puffy fry-ums and onion pakoda.
My absolute favorites were the lime rice, okra subji and the pickle and chutney. The sambar could've been spicier. The gun powder could've been spicier as per the bf. The banana subji was good. The curd rice was not to my liking due to the sourness. Also maybe the curd hadn't completely set. The onion pakoda was a bit too salt. The shira was good.
All in all, this was a nice authentic meal and delicious. Glad to have found these people for Diwali.
