By far, the worst haircut I've ever had, and that's really saying something. I should have trusted my gut instinct to leave when the stylist called the salon to say she was going to be 15 minutes late for my appointment. As if that was not bad enough, she ended up showing up over 30 minutes late for the appointment. Told he exactly what I wanted and showed her exact lengths for the shortest and longest pieces. Also showed her a photo example of what I wanted (with density and texture similar to my own hair).
Because the stylist was so late starting the appointments and she had clients booked after me, she really cut corners with the quality of my cut. She divided the sides from the back but did each section in a single cut, rather than taking individual partings within each section, as she should have. It was about 4" shorter in the front than I'd asked for. And not only that, I'd asked for an A-line, which is supposed to be longer in the front than the back and she cut it shorter in the front. To make matters worse, when I got home and had a chance to actually look at the cut, I found that it was about 1.5" longer on one side than it was on the other.
I ended up with the worst, choppy, uneven cut. No matter what I try, I cannot get my hair to look nice. My hair doesn't hold a curl in some areas and I can't flatiron it because the quality of the cut is so horrible. Cutting it shorter to fix the uneven choppy cut will only make my hair look worse because it's already way too short. All I can do now is live with the worst haircut I've ever seen. I've probably got at least 8 months until it's grown to the length I originally asked for in the front.
I feel bad posting this because I am sure that there are some other quality stylists at the salon. After this experience, though, I wouldn't go back to this salon for anything.
About two weeks ago, I walked into the salon for a layered hair cut. The stylist (Kim Johnson) did an absolutely phenomenal job on my hair!!!! The hair cut is one of the most beautiful that I have ever had. My hair is still thick and the layers fall in the right places. She listened to what I wanted... and she is very talented in what she does.
Also, the receptionist (Sharona R.) is soooo nice and welcoming! She makes me feel at home and "seen" and "heard" whenever I am at the salon.
