This is a very small and limited department store. But they do a great job of having clothes,bedding, towels,children and baby items. Some shoes and cookware too.

While the employees are all very sweet and I like talking to them, I have no reason to shop here. I ordered something online, came in to pick it up, and was shocked at the state of disrepair. The place has not been updated in 20 years or longer. Dingy, yellowed, stained and greyed, I do not have hope for this JC Penney. The merchandise is made cheaply, and comes at a high price. Worth wandering in to see a decayed department store, but not to shop.

The store needs to be closed down with heavy repairs needed. A little bit of rain and the ceiling had multiple (and I mean multiple) areas of leaks and the entire store rank of mold and mildew. We were in town from Texas and the stores in Texas are at least safe to shop in and have a far better selection. The store in Paso Robles had a bleak selection of quality items from what I could tell; however, we didn't stay long for our own health safety. Corporate needs to shut this place down for the safety of it's employees and customers.
