BUYER BEAWARE: Especially for first timers, be aware of what you've signed up for. This is a very sneaky business. Long story short, I signed the contract right after I received quotes without asking all the detailed questions but simply believed what he told me about 3 times of cloth materials for the draperies, each side of window will have 10 inches. But guess what, when I asked the specific measurements for all the windows another day and he gave only 5 inches to each side of my dining room window. And after he gave me three versions of measurements after our discussion, he still failed to deliver! Business owner James lying about the rod end cap sizing just wanted to trick me there’s 8 inches left on each side of my living room window! The draperies that he charged me $2,000 are in terrible shape (Picture 5). The draperies for another bedroom did not even have the right length, one set is sitting on the floor while the other set not (Picture 1&2). And for the 3rd bedroom, he even forgot to leave out an extra 3’’ seat cushion height for the window bench (picture 3)! Glass door sheers are not even long enough! Sheers won’t fully close! First floor curtains were ironed for what reasons (picture 4)??? Not to mention all the second-floor curtains are made with smaller cloth and sewn together with obvious sewn lines! Honestly, this completely shocked me and definitely not what I signed up for with almost $10k for all these installed curtains. The list did not end there. They failed to clean up. They scratched my newly refinished wood floor. They said they don’t have a floor mat to use to collect all those drilling debris. After I saw the typical black thick floor map on day 2 of installation in their van and asked the guy about it, he told me it’s not for this purpose. Instead, he told me it’s a blanket!!! On day 1 of installation, I had to vacuum right after their installation. After I insisted, telling them I'd rather they used the thin cloth that window rods and tools are laying on for their ladders and debris, they finally started to use that shin sheet after the first window's ceiling mount was completed. However, on their second day of installation, as I was busy staying at my other house to pack and get ready to move into the new one the next day, they installed the draperies without even cleaning up first, dust all over my floor, and the draperies are already on! Not sure how much debris and dust are on the curtains. When I stopped by and saw that, I requested they cleaned the debris right away, James even tried to say they are just trying to do it faster! Buyers, please also make sure to take BEFORE and AFTER pictures as his so-called business partner Wendy suddenly popped up and told me I can’t do anything about the floor scratches as I don’t have before and after pictures to prove. That day I was supposed to meet with James to finalize the partial return I requested. But this Wendy just popped up from nowhere and told me she denied my refund request, and I can’t request a partial refund for the defective items they installed. She said no pick or choose and my only option is to let them take down everything but at my cost of $5k! Did she ever think what kind of damages all the anchors they used for ceiling mount will create on the first floor ceiling? Can she restore my ceiling back to the way it was? What kind of “good faith” mediation from a “business partner”???
I recently remodeled my house and needed new drapery to complete the look. JH Drapery was fantastic throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, they were incredibly helpful. They guided me through the design process, patiently helping me select the perfect materials to match my new decor.
The installation process was also smooth and professional. I'm very impressed with the quality of the workmanship and the final look of the drapes. They truly elevate the entire space!
