I made the mistake of allowing Chiquita to talk me into staying at my assignment when I was very clear it was not going to work out within the first few weeks. She requested that I stay until they found a replacement which I thought would be "professional" of me. I also understood it from the business standpoint of it, as long as they have placement for their contracts, they get paid. This is what I get for being understanding. About 3 weeks later I contacted Chiquita asking had she found me a replacement as of yet, she mentioned no. I personally believe she was not looking hard enough. A week later, the assignment released me which was perfectly fine when I was well aware a month prior things were not ideal on either parts. I was told Chiquita would call me in reference to next steps of finding another assignment. She did not for almost 4 months. I reached out to her several times while speaking to other reps in the office such as Pam. When I finally got the chance to talk to Chiquita she insisted that I put that I had been fired on my resume before they send it to another employer. I told her I would not be doing so under the circumstances that I had made it clear that the position was not a fit for me in the beginning and per her request kept me in the position until she found a replacement. She then started to make subliminal comments about my work ethic as if it had ever been issue previously which it had not. I had just moved back to California and was looking for something temporary until I found something permanent. She was very unprofessional but I chose to leave it alone. If you can, find another agency to represent you in your job hunt.
