This place used to be the best place to buy, sell, or just inquire about property in Ocean Shores.
My last experience with John L Scott, went like this... (It was bad)
Only one representative called back, not the one I requested to talk to about real estate. Lost about 2 days waiting for a appointment, that was canceled past when they said they'd show up. The representative compared my place to some fixer-upers (sever mold/water damage), cash only type houses and trailers. My house is in good condition (move in ready), with no water/mold damage... Its not a trailer. Its not a fixer upper....
Agent would not do a walk though, would not offer any advice on what may need to be spruced up to increase value/sellability/curb-appeal, agent would not offer advice or assistance in filling out the paper work to sell.
John L Scott, just isn't the same as it used to be in my opinion and from my experience with them. After buying/selling thought and referring people to their parent company Sotheby's International Realty, and the other names they are known by since 2002, I will be recommending elsewhere after my experience with this branch of John L Scott. As I would have lost tens of thousands of dollars (in selling price alone) and they wanted to charge 60% more for listing/selling fees than anyone else in Ocean Shores. Not to mention the real estate agents way of coming up with a price put my house 35-45% below market value.
In summary. *This place wasted my time. *This place offered minimal to no help with the real estate process, wanting me to do the legwork. *This place offered no actual helpful advice for selling. *This place would not do a walk-though of the property. *They wanted to charge 60% more than any other real estate place in Ocean Shores. *The way they came up with the selling price would put my house 35-45% below market value. *The agent I got made me feel awful, as if I were wasting their time.
One the bright side. There are lots of other good reality places in Ocean Shores to chose from.
