I saw Dr. Ghormley on an urgent basis because my primary doctor was unavailable. In the first minute of the appointment she ran down a list of reasons for which she was dismissing my primary concern, didn't bother to ask what I was here for or let me explain my current concern at all or whether I had any open questions remaining. She could have been in that room with a mannequin and the appointment would have gone the same. I had zero room to advocate for myself during the appointment.
I came in for concerns about my heart with three open questions I had wanted to get answered, and left with orders for a shoulder x-ray and three unanswered questions. I am no more reassured than I was when I arrived.
I have never felt more like I was wasting a doctor's time, or my own.
