“There’s no way you had a nose job a week ago, you wouldn’t look this good already” — and other things I heard from people standing uncomfortably close, searching for bruising or a surgical scar. I have a lot of amazing things to say about Dr. Shvidler and his entire team, but I think it is a testament to his skill how easy my healing process was. My very minimal under-eye bruising was gone on the seventh day and I only experienced minor swelling. I did a lot of research on this procedure and was prepared to need several weeks for recovery, but I was basically back to normal in under ten days. I’m four months post-op now and just have some almost unnoticeable stiffness in my nose tip.
Prior to meeting Dr. Shvidler, I had paid $100 for a consultation with another plastic surgeon who told me that my case was too complicated, he’d have to refer me to an expensive specialist in Miami, it would have to be an open surgery, and that I also had a jaw deficiency (?). In contrast, Dr. Shvidler was kind, professional, and confident in his ability to achieve the results I wanted with a closed (and therefore scarless!) surgery. My consultation was free, surgery pricing was transparent, and scheduling was very easy. His office also completely handled working with my insurance to get some parts of the procedure covered.
Speaking of his office, every time I had to call (before and after surgery), I got a friendly, helpful response. They were proactive in making sure I was prepared with everything I needed for post-op care and in scheduling my (1-week virtual and 6-week in-person) follow up appointments. I was pretty nervous the day of surgery, but felt very reassured and taken care of by the staff and the chance to check in with Dr. Shvidler immediately beforehand.
And I love my result! It is exactly what I asked for and looks very natural with my face—my younger brother didn’t even notice. I would highly recommend Dr. Shvidler and his team to anyone in the PNW (or beyond!) and I’m hugely grateful for how frictionless the entire process was and how beautiful my nose turned out.
