I’ve lived in Simi my whole life and this place won’t last maybe another year.
Went for taco Tuesday and try this place out for the first time and it definitely will be the last. The MUSIC WAS INCREDIBLY LOUD. The waitress had trouble hearing our order and my husband and I sat right next to each other so we could hear ourselves talk.
We did want to try this place and it was late, but our first thought was wanting to leave as soon as possible because it wasn’t an enjoyable dining experience.
Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. We asked to see the manager, and we expressed our concerns to him and I emphasized that I believe that’s the theme of this restaurant to be loud, so be it but we would never return for that simple reason. He was very nice and did lower the music quite a bit. After talking to the waitress, she informed us that it’s a common complaint and after reading the reviews, I see that.
The tacos were good and very reasonably priced but honestly, I won’t return just because of the loud music. If you were out dancing, I could understand, but typically people who dine with others want to have a conversation and not have to shout.
