Encounter Date: 6/3/24 Pros-Availability, friendly front staff **Cons-ADA accessibility issues, heavy entry door, limited handicapped parking. Upon booking over the phone, for medication management. It felt like they were trying to sell me one product, TMS. Their Google listing quotes "medication management" under the services tab & mentions "prioritizing resilience alongside top-quality" and "Our comprehensive services encompass evidence-based interventions such as...medication management." Under the By owner tab. As a clinic geared for the military, the quality of care I experienced was equivalent to any army hospital clinics. Darian Hawke caused significant emotional distress. I was told, "No medication! My medication interactions were risky." Only seconds after claiming that the system to review my script history was slow/down. After consulting with my team, they agreed and determined that the risks were low. So let's proceed, my team was willing to lower my specialty meds if needed while someone in this field could point me to a better RX that I hadn't previously tried. Upon realizing I wasn't interested in TMS ASAP, his demeanor changed. Darian Hawke refused medication management, made insensitive comments, and asked intrusive questions. I Felt absolutely humiliated, and discriminated against. No access to online records if you have a bad experience, as it's the providers job to send a link. Proceed with caution, ⚠️ reviews seem marketed and lack personal experiences. To cut or even recommend a patient to stop a medication cold turkey is dangerous, definitely by no means evidence-based to be safe. Upon finishing up the appointment, he says with much assertion in his voice, "Is that a threat? That's definitely a threat, I won't tolerate threats! Now I'm definitely not going to be prescribing you anything!" I apologized immediately for any misunderstanding, clarifying I was seeking help and guidance. He twisted my words to imply a threat that wasn't there. Making this statement of unwillingness to prescribe anything at all, not once but twice, felt like a personal attack for turning down his sales pitch. I wasn't making any unreasonable requests. I was asked the most inappropriate question from this psych RN, Darian Hawke. Why am I in a wheelchair? He asked.
It is now 6/21/24, and I'm just now feeling comfortable sharing my experience. There are affiliated sister companies, it's possible staff is being asked to leave reviews. I don't know if I'd recommend them or not. They are a new office, still pending construction to accommodate services. Darian claimed after ONE short "clinician trial of 3 minutes" of TMS he did GREAT, went home, and slept like a baby. Katie's Way Plus states the treatment plan for TMS is an average of 4-6 consecutive weeks, 5 days a week of 20-minute treatment sessions (missing no more than every Sat + Sun, with other resources suggesting you miss no more than two weekday treatments). Other patients he's seen stopped meds and struggled, while some did just fine. It's expected, he claimed.🚩🚩🚩
I've since began recieving proper treatment elsewhere!
