I am a huge fan of KazuNori. This is one of my favorite places to take someone when they visit Los Angeles. Especially the one in Studio City. The staff at this location is exceptionally great. They are very friendly and love to have conversation with you. The ambience is intimate and relaxing. Although you sometimes have to wait for a seat, you never have to wait too long. The food here is exceptional. It is simple but it is done very well. No matter how many times I tell myself I am not going to order extra rolls, I always do. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

All the food they serve tastes identical. Initially, I believed it was just my perception until everyone in the group shared the same opinion. Another main problem lies in the chairs, which seem designed for smaller individuals, firmly fixed in concrete and almost immovable. Sitting on them for more than 10 minutes is a challenge, reminiscent of the uncomfortable concrete tables and chairs you might find at a local county office. It baffles me how this establishment manages to stay afloat when all their offerings seem to lack variety and taste alike.

Hand rolls are the best! KazuNori maintains that by serving up delicious rolls and in a quick fashion. You may need to wait in the line for a spot at the bar, but it’s worth it every time.
