I would have chosen zero stars if that had been an option. I was not able to see a physician so this rating is for the office staff. I made this appointment in the beginning of September for the downtown location and by their mistake it was made for the southwest location. When I received a confirmation message about the appointment time and location, I called to let them know of the error they had made. I knew that I would be leaving work to go to my appointment so the downtown location would be best. When I called, I was told that I would have to wait until December for another appointment if I changed the location so I kept the appointment the same. I called two days prior to the appointment to confirm the time and was told that if I completed the paperwork prior to my arrival I could arrive 15 minutes later. I was never told that if I was late they would remove me from the schedule! This would have been good to know. I arrived in the parking lot prior to the appointment time but it was full so I had to circle to find a spot to park. By the time I arrived at the receptionist’s desk she told me that I had been removed from the schedule because I was 4 minutes late! I was in shock. She said I would have to wait an additional 30 minutes if I wanted to be seen. The waiting room was empty. I took my completed paperwork and left. I have never been treated so poorly and with such disrespect. She failed at customer service! She appeared to take pleasure informing me that I had been removed from the schedule instead of apologizing and explaining! I tried to talk to the office manager to give her feedback on how the situation could have been handled differently to help me understand but all she wanted to do was argue and support their office’s policy. There is usually some leeway with appointment times due to things that can happen during the commute. Even from the patient prospective of having to wait to see the doctor, I realize the doctor may have a patient that needs extra time and maybe there are times I might be that patient. It is a give and take and showing grace in these situations is important. If I left a doctor’s office every time I had to wait, I would never be seen. I appreciate the effort to keep the office running on time but there is a way to accomplish this without offending your customers. There are many other qualified physicians in town, as well as many out of town options. Even though it is a doctors office, I am still a customer and I can choose where to spend my money. Life happens,…..extra traffic on 24th Street, parking lot full, you hold the door for others ……4 minutes can obviously make or break this office! This just shows what and who are important to them. And again, the waiting room was empty…. YOU HAVE A CHOICE…choose wisely.

My husband has been going to this clinic for over six years and in the past year it has gone from bad to worse. The office is now very unprofessional, they do not return calls, they do not accept responsibility when they have made errors, they do not follow up on procedures - which has bern very costly to us. I’m sure if Dr. Tanis and Dr Boren realized what was going on they would start having some office meetings with their staff.
I worked in a professional healthcare office for years and I would have fired personnel whose job performance was this bad.
Good luck if you chose this office.

Okay, so I talk to someone today after finding out that kern allergy is the only immunotherapy provider on my insurance and will hopefully be able to go back and start my therapy again. While being on it though it made life so much better. I'm a disabled veteran and getting around is difficult. While the other location made it easier and I don't agree with the way it was handled, the shots where exactly what I needed.
