Iv always enjoyed Kia Ora; the hours are great, and the early morning vibe is incredible; that is when there’s is no staff at the gym! Not knocking any of the staff members; most were all pretty pleasant to deal with. As for the Owners, Karl has always been friendly and made me feel welcome; he seems, for the most part, a hard worker! BUT!! Co-Owner Lisa is far from friendly!! She walks around the gym like she’s better than everyone! She introduces herself as (LISA, THE OWNER OF THE GYM). Most members I talk to at Kia Ora have had nothing but negative interactions with (LISA, THE OWNER OF THE GYM). The two times I spoke to her, she made me feel unwelcome! LISA, THE OWNER OF THE GYM, is a rude human! I've also always known that the Gym does need a lot of upgrades, such as old equipment, ripped treadmill belts, and broken elliptical; the majority of their equipment is at least 15-20+ years old. Therefore, with all that being said, I would rate this gym at one star! GYM NEEDS UPGRADE AND OWNER NEED TO WORK ON HER PEOPLE SKILL!

Absolutely appalling experience with this pool facility. If there were an option to award zero stars, I would not hesitate. Investing in a family membership proved to be a colossal mistake, especially for those who wish to utilize the open pool at their leisure. The facility imposes unreasonable restrictions, prohibiting children from accompanying their parents during times when lifeguards are absent—which, astonishingly, is almost always, given that lifeguards are on duty for a mere two days a week for a limited number of (2) hours. This crucial information is conveniently omitted during the sign-up process, leaving members blindsided. To add insult to injury, should this revelation dawn on you within a month of membership, do not expect any form of refund for the remaining 11 months. This deceptive practice is nothing short of a scam, entrapping members with misleading promises and delivering a service that falls woefully short of expectations. Beyond these issues, I also observed roof leaks and inconsistent water temperature, further diminishing the facility's appeal. The facility urgently needs to increase lifeguard hours to accommodate the needs of its members. On a solitary positive note, the boy at the reception/office is helpful, a stark contrast to the rest of the staff.

2 stars because I can’t rate how it was to work out there, but customer service is lacking.
Wanted to try a free pass but my brother couldn’t fill out the application online because he wasn’t over 23, which is apparently their age limit. Called to confirm this was true and I let the front desk woman know I was 29 and he was 21 and asked if there was any way he could work out. She said only 23 and older could use a free day pass but if we paid a day pass fee then he could work out. Once we got there she took a look at our IDs and turned us away saying only 23 and older can be guests. Not a big deal that gyms have their weird rules but would have been nice to know all the information prior to driving out there - not sure if the front desk woman had an issue with us working out there or she truly didn’t know her own policies. Nothing on the website gives an indicator that 23 is the limit to be a guest.
Other impressions: We went at 1030 am on a Thursday and the gym was full of older adults leaving a class and working out, but didn’t see any younger adults there. Wasn’t even offered a tour or anything while there.
