I have been going to Kilnfolk since February of this year. Their kind and experienced instructors (Eric & KK) have guided me from funky lumps that look a *little like a pot to "Hey! I made that!" planters and mugs. They host special events like raku firings, more advanced technique workshops, and fun for the whole family lessons like pinch pot Jack o' Lanterns or Christmas luminaries. But if you don't want to get that messy, they also have an entire pottery painting (a la Color Me Mine) section that you can just walk in and do (or organize for a birthday party or whatever).
I have especially enjoyed the community I have formed down there with other potters who are always encouraging and fun to be around. I'm so glad I found this special little gem. I hope they extend into more evening hours one day for us night owls. :)
