Service is great but the food is overpriced and not tasty at all, especially the brunch. The eggs Benedict were very salty, the kids grilled chicken was $26, the lobster roll was overpowered by the mayo and it seemed to be made with frozen lobster pieces. The restaurant was also cold, no view of the Potomac so can't say you are paying for the atmosphere either. Probably my biggest disappointment as a restaurant in DC in the past 10 years

Food was awful and waiter was overcharging drinks. We went with the fixed price restaurant week items thinking these would be best since they were their specials. No. My entree was a small crab cake half warm on a bunch of sprigs of greenery that was basically garnishment and not edible. My appetizer salad had lettuce that was brown on the edges. My husband had salmon that was not cooked completely. It was still translucent in areas and not very warm. Dessert was cheesecake with a topping that was so sour it was not edible. The waiter charged us $50 per drink on drinks that were supposed to be $25 each because he forgot what we ordered. $300 for 2 people having $65 fixed price menu plus a baileys on rocks and an old fashioned. And fast food would have been better. Actually I had to get something later to eat after our Kennedy Center show.

We had afternoon tea here on a Saturday. Overall delightful experience. Loved the retro vibe at the Watergate and it was a great afternoon spent with girlfriends. You have to book in advance for between 1-2pm. You also pay in advance to reserve your spot, which was convenient.

We came for a friends birthday and while the restaurant was relatively empty at 1PM on a Saturday, there were quite a few tables having tea. Wonderful and diverse tea options and everything tasted fabulous.

The sandwiches were delicious and.wd loved the tea and scones! We wished we had a whole tray of scones and biscuits. There were a lot of desserts, which were all delicious and beautiful, but we really loved the spreads and wished there were a few more savory items in place of a few of the desserts.

Overall really delightful experience and the staff were friendly and attentive.
