I joined the 2-week trial at Kismet on a whim, just wanting a change from rec centre workouts. I had tried yoga previously but had found classes either too slow-paced or too advanced. Kismet is perfect because participants can move at their own pace, instructors give direction and feedback but don't call out individuals for corrections. Movements are presented as an 'invitation' rather than a requirement which gives each participant validation to guide their own practice. The Kismet studio is very welcoming and the front desk helper is super friendly, there is no feeling of being an outsider and other participants seem to be a mix of beginners (like me) and seasoned members. The high intensity classes are fun and high energy but you can also find meditative, breath-centred classes as well. Also, I am not a sauna person but I am loving the warm, heated classes-they just add to the inviting and warm atmosphere of the studio. <3 <3 <3
