I love their food. My husband is from Brazil and says it's the real deal. He loves it as much as I do. The beef pocket and the chicken cone are two of my favorites. Then there is the passion fruit mousse. So good!

The food is amazing! But the service is awful. Yesterday morning I went to get my usual (Loco Bowl) which comes to $20 after tip and the ad ons I choose. However, when I got it. There was no honey, the add ons was on top of the already completed bowl. Which it’s not suppose to be. The extra açaí goes on top of the açaí and the extra peanut butter goes on top of the peanut butter. But instead, a scoop of açaí drizzled with peanut butter was on top of the bowl. Raj is the one who made it. The next day (today), I went into the store to talk about this matter with him (Raj). He offered my money back and to remake it. I denied it because that wasn’t my point. My point was to have him understand his mistake and to apologize. Which he didn’t apologize until I said something about him not saying it. Furthermore, he blamed his mistake on how it was busy and he’s new. Yet he bragged he has 10 years of bartender experience. And JT wasn’t busy, there was my order, a door dash order, and while he was making them. Three people came in. I had tried to tell him this is about service and quality, not speed. I’ve been going to Kitanda for three years now and talk about it to people around the world who come to Seattle and go to the cafe. But the service and how the treatment was is not acceptable at all.

So glad to see this new location of Kitanda! I had a acai bowl so yummy that I just remembered to take a picture after I ate almost half of it! The kitanda bread is great too.
